Muldoon Parker Common Map Turtle Portrait Study

from $14.00

Muldoon Parker is always on the move. His stride isn’t a million klicks a second, but this pensive pace is beneficial when mapping Algonquin Park. Each morning, he heads out early as it’s a two day hike with several portages to the interior. Equipped with his trusty measuring wheel, he enjoys the commune with nature as he travels.

Not everyone is as fortunate as a turtle, with his house on his back. Muldoon’s unique feature provides a home, as well as inspiration in his work as Community Urban Planner. He spends his day focusing on location analysis and developing ecological, biomimetic building practices. The process is fruitful: Murray Maynooth’s oh-so-sturdy geodesic dome-home was modelled on Muldoon’s own infallible shell.
